Keeping the focus still on activation of the core and strength in the torso, I have filmed a few exercises working the obliques.
These muscles that wrap around the sides of the torso, supporting the waist. Often these muscles get neglected as we tend to focus on working the upper abs, and sometimes the lower abs, in the hope of strengthen the core.
The side plank is the most common exercise to do in order to strength the obliques. So I have used this as a basic exercise and added variations to it for beginners and more advanced leaners. ➡️ Beginners: resting on the outside of the knee, rotations, dips and hold with single leg raise.
➡️Advanced: resting on the outside of the foot, rotations, dips and single leg raise.
Depending on the level your at, you can try any of the variations: 10x reps of each and a static 20s hold....................... or if your feeling really strong, try doing them one after the other!

Counting my blessings today and feeling grateful for an amazing work life - a day job that is anything but ordinary and mundane, one where I learn something new everyday, about a new country, communities and being surrounded by so much creativity.
