You sometimes need to self-reflect in order to see your own flaws as they can hide below the surface.
However, sometimes people just have ugly personalities and mistreat others without justification.
This is absolutely unacceptable. Don't be one of these people. When you look at the most successful people, they have all found ways to give back.
Do your best to find ways to give back, to help others, to make them happy. You will be amazed by the influence you not only have on others, but the influence these actions have on you life.
Thanks for listening to @the.excellence.addiction.
While at #jamcon2017 I attended a fundraiser luncheon for our foundation, Fight Against Domestic Violence. One candle isn't very much light.... but together we can light the world. I'm looking forward to getting more involved with the fight. Will you join me?? @fadv_fightviolence #isaynomore#nomore
As we sat in the automatic car wash my little love bug reminded me to slow down and appreciate the moments. Children are such incredible teachers. She was in awe of something so meaningless; the car wash brushes swirling around. Look at how mesmerized she is. Just being in the moment. Enjoying the little things ❤️❤️❤️ #bepresent#enjoythelittlethings#appreciate#childrenarethebest
Today was a loooooong day. Too much to do and too little time. And then when I got home my magical fairy must have mixed up my address because there was still #Momlife and laundry and dinner to be served and lunch boxes to unpack and repack and #GirlBossWork to get done and and and... 😫. So when this kid decided to push my buttons he pushed the wrong ones as usual. I was frustrated because he lost all screens and if ever there was a night I could have used a TV show to occupy my kids this would be the night.
But it ended up being such a #blessingindisguise . And a much needed reminder - #turnoffthescreens and kids will figure it out. They need chances to use their #imagination and #creativity . I have stated more than a few times that sooner than later we will be a #screenfreehouse and reminders like tonight bring me back to why.
My kids behave so much better without the noise and distraction. They are able to better focus on the task at hand. They learn to occupy themselves and challenge their brains to do some thinking.
Tonight turned into #LegoNight and the cherry on top was when my boy asked me to help him out and we got to spend #qualitytime#buildingcoolstuff . Even though I still smelled like gym sweat and even though I had piles of chores and work... It felt good to say yes to him. I definitely cherish these moments. #Iamgrateful that I have learned to #letthelittlethingsgo and #liveinthemoment more. #gymhairdontcare#LegoFamily#BePresent#createyourlife#alwaysmakethebestofeverysituation#MomLife#DiffuseYourself
Here's part of the class that I prepped that utilizes a chair for modifications. By using the chair, you can focus on the INTENTION of the pose and engage the parts of your body that are needed, instead of trying to just take the pose as far as possible. For example, in Warrior 2 you can focus on keeping the hips and chest open instead of worrying about bending super deep in the front leg. If some standing poses don't work well for you, try using a chair and notice how you can feel the pose differently. 👍🏻
One week ago my little nugget poop graduated kindergarten. He was so exited and I was sitting there cringing because of how fast he has grown. He no longer has his fat baby rolls or chunky cheeks. He now has a mind of his own and doesn't allow others to make decisions for him. I've already taught him, no matter how old he is, he'll always be my baby and he'll never be too big for mommy hugs.
#todaysgratitudelist Moments. The day is filled with them. Moments of happiness, moments of doubt. Moments that shoot you forward, moments that pull you back. Every single moment in each day hands us the opportunity to grow, change, learn, teach, love. Today was a beautiful collection of moments, each adding words of love to my story. Thank you Universe for allowing my path to cross with gorgeous souls who light up the room by simply being present. Thank you Universe for time to be by myself, allowing my being to settle into the present. Thank you Universe for always having my back and filling my life with moments. I cherish every one of them.
Day 219/365: When therapy can be hanging out with your sister from another mister, over lunch, between patients, having rushed but thought provoking conversations. When I announced I was going to settle down with a woman, I decided leaving my family was the only way to do it. I didn't give them an opportunity to try to understand, but I was also very afraid of their reaction to this news. As time went on I tried to communicate with them but they weren't receptive to me. They lost me and I lost them. No one wins with this type of loss, we just have to learn how to cope. I learned to create a family outside of the one I was born into. I've been so lucky and so grateful to have so many loved ones, friends, and other family members who have taken a seat in my corner and even taken a few punches for it. I couldn't have done it without you. To my friends who are still working their way through this part of their life, please notice those in your corner and don't be afraid to ask for help or support. The worst that anyone will say is NO, but that's not a bad thing. Reach out. Grab a hand. Make things happen. Peace, love, and loads of happiness. #365daysofmonica#mindfulness#bepresent#selflove#iambecauseweare#ineededaherosoibecameone#lgbt#pukeycute#lgbtpride#family#friends#loveislove#spiritanimal#muffin#wanderlust#sunsoutgunsout#workoutbuddies#proudandloud
Salute to all the dad's out there who are doing what they ought to.
You don't always get it right.. there are good days.. there are bad days... There are trying days...no matter what don't stop being a #father .
We have been SO BUSY! Camping, buying a new camper, selling our old camper, selling our house, getting plans together for a new house, keeping house clean for showings, adam being out of town for work, squeezing in business meetings, business events, ohhh and making sure my children are fed, clean, and happy! What I've noticed is that if I prioritize my time, I can do it. But when I get stuck in the Facebook "time suck" as I call it.... then I get NOTHING DONE!! Sitting and scrolling isn't productive.... it sure makes me feel "busy" like I'm working and doing something worthwhile.... but it just sucks me away from more important things I could be doing. I gotta work on this!!! Bad!
I usually try to avoid processed foods, but today was one of those days and I was glad I had @gardein Chick'n Sliders in my freezer. Added some @sirkensingtons Fabinaise, half an avocado and cherry tomatoes plus my favorite Warm Kale Sunflower Salad (recipe link in bio⬆️) adapted from @christina_simpleveda's recipe and I had a tasty filling vegan meal in 10 mins. 😋
Be fierce, be strong, be focused, be a humble Warrior!
We all have it within! Whether we have to go defend ourselves or others, we have it and it is our human nature to have it. Just remember to let it out wisely. Picking your battles 😉 I always say, "There is a story behind every smile" but... "There is also a story behind every Warrior"
I dedicate this posture to my grandpa who once was involve in the Guerrilla in El Salvador, protecting my mom and his country. During that time Central America was going through a Civil war and death was at their doorstep. I always wanted to hear his story's but he always told me "when you get older, you are too young right now" even though this was every year up until two years ago. Now, he has Alzheimer's and has no ability to move, talk, or eat. I can only wish I tried harder but he is SO stubborn!!! That's where I got it from 😂 Either way, I love my papi!!!🙏 Virabhadrasana II, Warrior 2
The stance is about 4 ft wide or wrist to wrist width apart. The front foot is pointing straight forward and back foot slightly turned in. Lift the arches in both feet. External rotate the femur bones (thighs) and activate the hamstrings, quads, and glutes on both legs. The goal is to have the bent leg parallel to the ground, knee over ankle. Open the hips and do a posterior pelvic tilt bringing the tailbone towards the ground. Relax the shoulders, open your warrior chest, and gaze at the tip of your middle finger.
