Doughnut Drive-Thru 🍩 || For some time I've seen this cute little game by @grailgames floating around and when my FLGS happened to have a copy in stock, I snagged one for myself! This game is a very light worker placement game where the goal of the game is to serve delicious treats and earn the most money after one player has served 5 doughnuts, at which point the game ends. This game plays well under 15 minutes and offers a little bit of strategy, however the majority of what you'll be doing is rolling a single die in an attempt to match the value on the doughnut card that is required to prepare and then serve the doughnut. The production quality of this game is quite good for something just under $15 CAD and the artwork is simply adorable. Definitely a good recommendation for a palette cleanser in between games or just something light to kick off your game night!

So up here in the northern hemisphere, it's approaching Summer and we will soon all be looking for ways to cool off. #IceCool offers adorable, wobbly penguins and their cat and mouse chase, ice house. This clever, flicking movement game has a unique design that begins with the box used to house the game which sandwiches in the other 4 box rooms of the board and continues to the design of the weeble-like penguins made for flicking, spinning, and jumping across the board. I really enjoyed trying different ways of racing the penguins around the board to catch fish or chase after or run away from the other player. @cranki_gamer and I played the 2 player variant and it worked well but as the saying goes: the more penguins, the cooler. And that's saying something because I had an ice cold blast playing this one. 🐧❄😨
Finally got into Plague Inc. today. Consider me infected! This Plaguebot (solo opponent) is rough and makes you think and think hard. Building a disease to destroy the world has never been so much fun. Quick set up, medium footprint and beautiful components. This game is a a blast.
