Game #149 : SeaFall
# of Players: 3 – 5
Game duration: 120 – 180 minutes
Game info: Players take on the roles of ship captains sailing around unexplored waters discovering lands, acquiring resources, and upgrading their ships and provinces. This game is known as a legacy game where the game map, rules, and characters change from game to game based on the actions of the players playing it. The game is played in years where each year begins with a winter phase where cleanup from previous rounds and other actions occur, and then there are 6 rounds where each player takes 1 set of actions per round. Each round, the player will hire new advisors/purchase treasure, activate an advisor for use in that round, then hire a guild to perform their actions. These actions can include sailing their ships, exploring islands, raiding ships/islands, repairing ships/building upgrades/buildings, etc. The end goal is for players to earn glory points over the course of the campaign (roughly 15 games in total). Throughout the game, players will read adventures from a captain’s log where choices must be made that affect the game. Players also can name islands, characters, ships, etc. as the game goes along as well adding a unique feel when compared to other games.

Tonight we played Sagrada and we absolutely love it. We love the concept, the design, and the art. We had high expectations for this game and it didn't disappoint. We enjoyed it and it will definitely hit our table more often. If you haven't played, we highly suggest that you do!
