I call these my Sockeye Salmon Avocado Bites !
6-8 oz Salmon 🐟
1/2 cup Steamed Brown Rice 🌾
1/4 Avocado Sliced 🥑
1 cup Steamed Broccoli 🌳
I was craving sushi and this hit the spot! Cooking healthy meals doesn't have to be boring!
My 4 rules to cooking healthy to build long term sustainable habits:
1) Make sure its actually healthy food ✔️
2) Make sure the portions are not huge ✔️
3) It should be simple to cook ✔️
4) Have fun with it ✔️✔️ I know this may not look easy, but here is what I did. I turned on the grill on ( you can also turn on the over to bake it). I put a bag of steamers Broccoli cuts in the microwave. Then I put a pot of water to boil on the stove. After that I put my Salmon in a piece of tin-foil and added salt and pepper and put in on the grill. Once the water was boiling I put my rice on to steam. I poured a glass of wine while everything was everything cooking 🍷. Once everything was done, I put little piles of rice on the plate, topped it with a slice of Salmon, topped that with a small slice of Avocado, and put my Broccoli in the middle and voila ! Magnifico! Simple. Easy. Delicious. Healthy. #NxtLevel .

I was sitting on the couch feeling sorry for not getting a workout in today. But then I saw @caitlinvbanks post and remembered I don't need to work out for an hour for it to count. I just needed to move! And so, I did. Quick warm up followed by 4 rounds and 20 reps of each exercise (Mountain Climbers, Lunges, Squats, Push Ups, V Sit Twists, Resistance Band Single Leg Deadlift Fly + Shoulder Press)
