24 weeks of hard work, 24 weeks of sweat!
There were times that I had to push through when I was sick, when I was lazy, when I was tired after work, when I was too lazy to wake up at 5 in the morning, when it was ridiculously hot or cold, and even after I was diagnosed with cancer last month. It is more than looking good in a bikini, it is about feeling happy with yourself. With that mindset, I had the will to follow through. Healthy lifestyle has become a habit/ daily lifestyle. I can't imagine my day without doing BBG @kayla_itsines I think I would be lost and confused lol. Now time to take a break for my big surgery on Tuesday. I can't wait to recover and restart BBG again!!!
During the week, I wake up at 4:45 to get to work. Sleeping in on the weekend sounds awesome but is it optimal?
When looking at the body, it goes through cycles. The main one here is the sleep cycle. Your body during the week gets into a cycle where it knows when it is time to be awake and a time when it needs to sleep. When sleeping in on the weekend past your normal time during the week it disrupts this cycle. Now, is this a bad thing?
1. It can mess up your sleep during the week to where you can’t fall asleep Sunday night, resulting in you getting less sleep.
2. According to sleep.org it can increase your risk of obesity, type II diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
3. It won’t help make up for lost sleep during the week. Sleep doesn’t work that way.
Take naps anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes in length. This will give your body the rest it needs for the day without messing up your circadian rhythm.
If you don't like where you are. Change it.

Legday! 🍑 First one is elevated single leg deadlifts on the smith machine for hamstrings. Being elevated allows me to hit more depth at the bottom, giving my hamstrings more of a stretch! Second is split squat pulses with a straight bar between the legs. This one gives me a great quad and booty pump! 💪🏼💕
Garden states today 3rd and 4th in a stacked class B where I'm the smallest guy in the class held my own thought we should have done a little better but that's the sport wanna thank everyone that felt with me thru this my wife especially @mrschervy who always supports me 💯my coach @erikramirez_ifbbpro dealing with al the extra crap I eat that I'm not supposed to lol and @a.montoya_sr and @joe_stisi coming out there to watch and support me on stage ❤️ you all thank you
There is something magical about the ocean, especially early in the morning. I like to wake up with the sun and get to the beach before everyone else to take a breath and focus on the sound of the waves. It's in those moments before the chaos of the day where I find myself most in tune with my body and mind.

Although I'm still a little sore from Thursday's leg day (it's been awhile since I've felt that after training legs .... ), I wouldn't mind seeing some deadlifts in my future tomorrow. 👍
Rest day today ---- and a busy day anticipated for tomorrow, but hope to sneak in a training session.
