24 weeks of hard work, 24 weeks of sweat! 
There were times that I had to push through when I was sick, when I was lazy, when I was tired after work, when I was too lazy to wake up at 5 in the morning, when it was ridiculously hot or cold, and even after I was diagnosed with cancer last month. It is more than looking good in a bikini, it is about feeling happy with yourself. With that mindset, I had the will to follow through. Healthy lifestyle has become a habit/ daily lifestyle. I can't imagine my day without doing BBG @kayla_itsines I think I would be lost and confused lol. Now time to take a break for my big surgery on Tuesday. I can't wait to recover and restart BBG again!!!

During the week, I wake up at 4:45 to get to work. Sleeping in on the weekend sounds awesome but is it optimal?
When looking at the body, it goes through cycles. The main one here is the sleep cycle. Your body during the week gets into a cycle where it knows when it is time to be awake and a time when it needs to sleep. When sleeping in on the weekend past your normal time during the week it disrupts this cycle. Now, is this a bad thing?
1. It can mess up your sleep during the week to where you can’t fall asleep Sunday night, resulting in you getting less sleep.
2. According to sleep.org it can increase your risk of obesity, type II diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
3. It won’t help make up for lost sleep during the week. Sleep doesn’t work that way. 
Recommendation: 
Take naps anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes in length. This will give your body the rest it needs for the day without messing up your circadian rhythm.

The weekends are what I call "Weakends" for training. I've already worked all muscle groups through the week. So I use these two days to work on "weak" spots in my physique. Mostly chest (itty bitty titty committee 😞) and legs (I like them but I need to grow them to be more competitive). I think you really have to be able to self evaluate and be critical enough to realize where you can get better. Never settle for mediocrity after all. -
Today I did fasted cardio on the bike for 35 minutes (sucked)
This afternoon I did lots of chest presses, showed some guys at the gym a new exercise they saw me doing (love helping others), and finished with abs and more cardio on the treadmill for 30 minutes (still sucked). -

Legday! 🍑 First one is elevated single leg deadlifts on the smith machine for hamstrings. Being elevated allows me to hit more depth at the bottom, giving my hamstrings more of a stretch! Second is split squat pulses with a straight bar between the legs. This one gives me a great quad and booty pump! 💪🏼💕
