I think momentum is an overlooked aspect of the sport, far to many people will have captions or say stuff like "Getting back into things" , "Things are getting serious" , "Time to kick it up a gear"....
I read these things and sit there confused 🤔 it's like, from my eyes, if you want to truly MAXIMISE your potential as an athlete you should be pretty much on it for the majority of the time. Look at some of the BEST athletes out there, do you see them having long periods of time where they simply don't put in the work?! Unless it's STRUCTURED fatigue management or you're Kevin Levrone then you should be working your ass off year round 👌🏻
If you deep down love this process you'll probably hate taking time off anyway 😜

We seem to be getting VERY good at overcomplicating every element of training. There are a few things we can count on to build great physiques.
If you're able, stop avoiding the hard stuff.
Be progressive with the loads / volume.
Maintain a high level of exercise execution, making the last rep of the set look like the first.
Spend more time handling heavy dumbbells, barbells and plate loaded machines.
And yes before someone thinks it, take time to optimise strength profiles and create optimal resistance profiles within your programming, but don't forget to actually train with INTENSITY.
We should always make a conscious effort to train 'smart', but don't forget the guys and girls at the pinnacle of this game are still always obsessed with being the hardest workers in the room.

Have been having trouble with my hamstrings lately. They hurt pretty bad when I train them, even when I stretch them regularly. I think it's from all the sitting down while studying these last few weeks 😐 If anyone has experienced the same pains and has some tips, please share!

Physio today. Birthday tomorrow.
Today I have my first Physiotherapy session. I'm praying this is going to be the first steps to get me back to training. I won't be able to train (with weights) for a very long time but even being able to do body weight work would be nice without my neck/trap being in agony.
There are times when I feel I look bigger than what I am, it's such a delusional thing. I just want to say that I am a big self motivator for myself, some days are good some are harder than others but there are some of you out there that motivate me as well and make me want to push myself just a little more. To the ones that have asked me for advice on some things fitness @lisatatiana @fisherp07 @leidynesfinol @jenn__o @shelijuli @lynettep11 @deeslim3 and I've seen some of these girls push themselves, to one that said I motivate her @walis1028 ...I'm very proud of you and you all touch my heart♡. I hope everyone sees how great they are and if you don't maybe try looking at yourself through your best friends eyes cause they know #instadaily#gymjunkie#bikini#competitor#protein
💥 Mixing it up 🏋🏻💥
From the muscle groups to train leg days are by far my favourite.
But they can be very demanding especially on days when energy can feel at a premium. Sometimes the thought of having to get through three heavy sets of squats can be just as draining as the physical challenge itself.
Recently I've had a couple of training blocks where squats were replaced with box squats and although still a challenging exercise it can be a welcomed rest from having to perform a full squat.
I've also found the cross over to be extremely beneficial as my hamstrings felt a lot stronger helping to improve my range of motion.
If you feel like you're hitting a brick wall or having the same nightmares as I was over squats try giving the box squat a go and see how you get on 💪🏻
