It was hard to get a good angle for the camera as I take the opportunity when it comes...Hermione has made great progress and as of two days ago when wake up in the morning she is sleeping at the foot of the bed along with our own cats Brady and Emily (Hermione adores both of them and copies them). So now I'm working very slowly to get Hermione to let me carry her. Now keep in mind some cats will NEVER like being carried and you have to respect that. But it's worth a try. Carrying a cat is the last part and take the longest. (Although in Hermione's case I would still like to work with her to sit by my side in addition to carrying--she isn't totally ready for graduation yet.) When I get the opportunity (shes relaxed and in the right position), I gently place my hand under her chest with my fingers in position AS IF I was going to pick her up. But that's it. I do not apply any pressure at all yet and just very lightly hold my hand there. That's step 1. It needs to all be gradual. Once she is comfortable with this then we move on to step 2. . .
