complete opposite feel of my last post 😝 day number 11 of the #MayWeHoopChallenge is power flow. I thought about what song made me feel like a badass and this was one of the first ones that came to mind. good ole A7x 🤘🏽☠️
Day number 8 of the #MayWeHoopChallenge was Yoga Flow. This one was a tough one for me. I've practiced yoga but not nearly as often as I'd like. You fellow yogis are probably shaking your head but hey, least I tried 🤷🏽♀️
Foam Rolling Pt. 3
For rolling out our #calves :
🏋Place the roller under our ankles
🏋Cross one foot over the other
🏋Roll up to our knees and back down to our ankles
🏋Do this before our #workout x5 each side
To treat a tender spot:
🏋Sit on the tender spot
🏋Point our toes towards our face
🏋Then point toes away from our face
🏋Rotate foot left to right like a windshield wiper
🏋Keep working on it until the spot doesn't feel tender anymore

Jenn’s been teaching yoga for 18 years and has shared Organic Flow Yoga & Permission to Chill at studios, resorts & festivals across the US. An experienced certified yoga teacher, she has trained with a variety of master teachers in the traditions of Ashtanga, Iyengar, Yin, and SmartFLOW. Drawing from each style, she teaches an intuitive, organic flow that’s rooted in mindfulness, traditional postures, fluid movement and core strengthening. Live music has been a long time featured element in Jenn’s classes & she’s grateful to have collaborated with several talented musicians, artists & friends. Weakness of hip lateral rotator muscles has been associated with some sport-related knee injures such as patellofemoral pain syndrome and anterior cruciante ligament. It has been proposed that weakness of this muscle group might impai control of femur movement in transverse plane during weight-bearing activities, resulting in excessive hip medial rotation. Parvtitta Surya Yantrasana; Sundial Pose or compass is such a beautifully juicy pose, it is a deep hip-opener, hamstring stretch, shoulder opener, twist and this version a thigh stretch too, pretty much everything! The topping is where you turn your face to bask in the sun...there are so many elements to this posture. The most important thing to learn is: it is never really about the posture, that's the vehicle for being in deep meditation. Meditation does NOT just happen seated crossed-legged with your palms in your lap. Practice yoga well and every single posture is a meditation, every transition is a sacred pause, every breath a deepening experience when you quit trying to get somewhere in a pose and start to receive. There's a rebound effect constantly informing you, nourishing, a reciprocity between the Earth and yourSelf. The poses are like getting in your car, they take you somewhere. Your task is to realise the destination is Now. What makes an advanced pose level two or three? It's really not what you think.
